Create your first microspace

How to create a microspace, add pages, and get it ready to share.

This guide walks you through how to create your first microspace using a template or inspiration, add pages, and structure your content.

Who can do this
Editors, Project Admins, and Organization Admins can create new microspaces.

Step 1: Choose a template

Click New Microspace on the dashboard. This opens the creation wizard, which guides through three steps: choosing a starting point, entering microspace details, and adding optional metadata.

  • Templates — templates your organization has created (Premium and Enterprise plans). Choose one that fits your workflow — a proposal, onboarding flow, account overview, etc.

  • Inspiration — ready-made example layouts from Microspace. A good starting point if you're new.

  • New blank microspace — start from scratch with no pre-built structure.

You can preview any option before selecting it.

Step 2: Microspace details

  • Microspace title — what your team sees internally (required)

  • Customer — select an existing customer or create a new one

  • Project — pre-filled based on where the microspace was created from. Change it here if needed.

Step 3: Finish

Add optional details before creating:

  • Tags — up to 3 microspace tags to help organize and filter

  • Deal link — link to a CRM record or deal URL

  • External title — the title your contacts will see, if different from the internal title

Click Create Microspace and you'll go straight into the editor.

Name and Tag Your Microspace

  • Enter a clear title for your microspace.

  • Optionally, you can:

    • Add a customer tag to organize by client.

    • Add a deal link if relevant.

    • Add microspace tags to help filter or organize across teams, or reflect your own internal workflow.

Info Cards

Your microspace includes several built-in info cards shown on the right side. These provide important context to your contacts without requiring extra pages:

  • About: Add a short description to explain what this microspace is about.

  • Updates: Share quick updates with your contacts. They’ll be notified by email and can react.

  • Your contact: Shows the primary contact person for this microspace.

  • Team: Introduce the team members involved with this client or project.

  • Invited members: Show everyone who has been invited to this microspace. Invited members can also invite others.

You can add these cards while editing your microspace.

Header image and logo

At the top of your microspace, you can customize the header image:

  • Use the default image set by your organization's branding.

  • Or choose a new image from stock photos or upload your own.

  • You can adjust the opacity to blend with the brand background color.

Make it feel personal by adding your client logo.

This helps make each microspace feel personal while keeping a consistent look.

Add Pages

You can build your microspace page-by-page.

  • Click Create new page to start from a blank page.

  • Or use Add page from template to reuse an existing structure.

  • Use the duplicate page icon to copy any existing page within your microspace.

Set Page Visibility

  • New pages are draft by default.

  • Use the Draft / Live toggle to publish or unpublish each page.

  • Draft pages are only visible to your internal team.

  • Live pages are visible to clients or contacts with access.

Each page card in your microspace shows the title and description. You can also optionally upload a thumbnail image to help readers recognize the content quickly.

What’s Next

Now that your microspace is created and structured, you're ready to set sharing preferences and send it to your contacts. See Sharing your microspace for how to add people, manage access, and allow resharing.
