Using personalisation tokens

Tailor content for each contact without rewriting anything.

Updated over 3 weeks ago

Personalisation tokens automatically replace {{placeholder text}} with contact-specific information. This allows you to create one version of your content and still make it feel personal to every reader.

Available tokens

You can use the following tokens:

  • {{FirstName}} – Contact's first name

  • {{LastName}} – Contact's last name

  • {{Company}} – Contact's company name (from the customer tag)

Where tokens work

You can use personalisation tokens across the microspace:

  • On the microspace home: in the header, subheader, and page title

  • Inside pages: in text blocks, headings, buttons, and other content sections

Tokens appear highlighted when editing, so you can easily see where they are used.

How it works

Write your content using the token format with double curly brackets. For example:

Welcome {{FirstName}}

When a contact views the microspace, they will see their own information. For example, "Welcome {{FirstName}}" displays as "Welcome Jane" for Jane.

If no value is available, nothing will be shown.

To test your tokens, click the View button in the top bar. It will show your own contact name and company (from the customer tag you added to the microspace) so you can preview how tokens appear. If it works for you, it will work for your contacts too.

When to use

Tokens are useful when you want to:

  • Personalise greetings and intros

  • Reuse microspaces across clients

  • Create scalable content for different audiences

  • Keep one version of your content and personalise it automatically for each contact
